Hyatt People "Dare to be Bald" to Support Kids with Cancer

Sharing with others can be done in various ways. One way is to follow “#BeraniGundul” (Dare To Be Bald) to provide support to children who are struggling with cancer. The annual charity program was initiated by the Indonesian Children's Cancer Foundation (YKAKI). Hyatt as YKAI's partner certainly positively welcomed this event. As a continuing Corporate Social Responsibility, every year Hyatt employees take part in the #BeraniGundul (Dare To Be Bald) action. The employees are supported by Hyatt management. Each Hyatt employee who participated will also donate Rp 100,000 to help with the medical expenses of the younger siblings at the foundation. This year the event was held on February 16, 2020 at Atrium Parkson Hartono Mall.

#BeraniGundul is an annual event to commemorate World Cancer Day which falls on 15 February. Hyatt employees make this event a concrete action to support cancer fighters. There's even a Hyatt employee who shakes his hair every year at #BeraniGundul. Even the employees also invited their families to join in their hair shaving. This event makes us more sensitive and empathetic to cancer survivors. The process of treating cancer simply consumes energy, time, and money that is not small. Not to mention the effects of treatment which causes some unpleasant effects for survivors. Not

infrequently they feel alone in the struggle. This is where we are there to support them and help ease their burden. Following #BeraniGundul is a form of real support (visual support) for cancer survivors. At least they are not alone and there are us who always care about the process of their struggle. "We really appreciate the #BeraniGundul and are happy because every year we can take part in this event. Hopefully our support can be useful for YKAKI and especially the younger siblings who are struggling, "said Nurcahyadhi, Hyatt's General Manager.

In addition to participating in #BeraniGundul there is also the Hyatt Pink Ribbon Run which is held every October and all profits are donated to the Indonesian Cancer Foundation Chapter Yogya. In accordance with the spirit of Hyatt "We care for people so they can be their best", Hyatt wants to share more love and care with people in need.
